The Carel du Toit Centre for Deaf Children, Tygerberg

ANNUAL FUN WALK Sunday 20th April 2008

The Carel du Toit Centre for Deaf Children, where deaf kids actually learn to speak, offers youngsters an amazing and promising future. Dedicated staff pledge their professional lives to this worthy task – and it really shows! The centre is a registered NPO – and like us – depends entirely on events such as this to raise funds from the caring public.

We were specially invited to join in the annual 5km event around the Tygerberg Hospital grounds with our PAT dogs, our families, our own kids, and our friends, to give their operating budget a much deserved boost

To those who joined in on the day and gave their hounds and hearts a worthy work-out – thanks a million for those couple of hours spent making a world of difference for a really GOOD cause!

Members Lisa & Sheena enjoying the workout that guide dogs Pam and Tsidi are giving them!
Tsidi made it across the finishing line with time to spare!

Sally was seen to cut a few corners, and was first in the queue for canine awards!

Lynne Masson and her extra ordinary dog, Jessie did their bit for the 2007 Carel du Toit fun walk; a meaningful event for Jessie who is also deaf and yet reads sign language like a real professional!
